The Boys Are Back In Town

Welcome back, tumblr…. or should I say, “thank you tumblr, for taking me back.”

I know I still posted intermittently, but it wasn’t with anywhere near the dedication of our pre-long distance relationship. Most relationships crumble and break apart when one half of the couple ignores the other for days (at one point weeks) at a time. But not tumblr.

Thank you for being so understanding. You and I…we are going the distance. 

On that note, I’m back in the U.S. (pssst, a secret- I hate it already). 

The Philippines was beautiful, mysterious, friendly, foreign, familial, familiar, and to pull out an old cliche, life changing. Thankfully, I was kidnapped only once.

 Just kidding….I was kidnapped twice. 

I went swimming with sharks, hung out in national archives photographing 19th century documents, fought hand to hand combat with a panda-sun bear hybrid (I WON! I WON!), escaped communist rebels, dined with Senators, rode a goat, and met Jesus.

No, really….I went to the national archives. 

I also went to Hong Kong. Fun stuff. 

I’ll post some photos and stories here in the future.
